Danvers Pizza & Subs

Found this gem on TIKTOK while visiting Danvers from PA. I cannot wait for my next trip here so I can stop in again! Staff is so incredibly friendly and also accommodating for our topping request. Sauce to cheese ratios are perfection and the sauce is not overly sweet! Pan pizza goodness that you didn’t know was able to be achieved. Oh and asked if we might need plates and napkins for our pizza. Beyond thoughtful staff, seriously stop here and get some pizza! Looking forward to trying the hand breaded chicken tenders next go round, so they looked equally delicious in the social media post that sparked this try.

Been hearing great things about these guys so decided to give them a try. Ordered two small Calzones and soda to go. Service was fast and friendly and the menu seemed good though there was no garlic bread listed. One Calzone was pepperoni and mushroom while the other was Hawaiian with sausage and mushroom. They offered to let me sit in my car while I waited and would let me know when my food was ready but I opted to wait inside. It would have been nice if there were a chair or two to sit on but I got the impression they didn’t want to encourage people waiting inside the shop. After a wait of about 15 minutes I had my food and headed home. I thought the Calzones were really good with fresh ingredients, tasty sauce and good dough. I will return!

It was $40 for a pizza and a chicken wing. I asked for the pizza well done, it didn’t seem well done. I put it in my oven when I got home to try and give it some crunch and it just wouldn’t. It reminded me of dominoes pizza from 20 years ago before they changed their ingredients. I normally wouldn’t take the time to write a bad review, but since it was $40 I felt I had to.

Came here for the first time. We actually used the Too Good Too Go app - an app that restaurants opt into to limit waste at the end of the day - the food they would normally have to throw away they sell for a discounted price. This was the first time we used that app too - we didn’t know what to expect as what is included is a surprise. We ordered 2 and received 2 full pizzas and 2 cookies! Way more food that I anticipated! The owner came out personally to hand us the pizza and was a sweetheart! The pizza and cookie was very tasty and the staff was friendly! I would go again.

My wife and I both have Celiac disease, and this is our #1 place for pizza. It's a bit of a drive for us, like 30-ish minutes, but we're happy to make the drive because their gluten free pizza is SO good, the fries and chicken tenders are amazing (and safe!), and everyone is so nice. Also, they have vanilla coke-- huge win in my book. :) We love it here!

Deserves every star, staff is very welcoming, food was fan-freakin-tastik! I found this place just randomly searching along our route . Was about 30 minutes out of the way but so very much worth it! I came for the pizza but after reading so many reviews about their Thai chicken strips I had to get both since I’m here lol. So when I opened both I would have to say the pizza looked very basic, I actually passed and went straight to the chicken. It was amazing!! These are more like chicken breast size lol, very big and delicious. The sauce, the breading, the freshness of the chicken and no crazy things or tendons in it. Was spectacular! After stuffing myself with chicken I decided I should at least try the pizza. Was I wrong about basic, it doesn’t look like much but seriously even my daughter who doesn’t really care for pizza loved it. Everything was fresh, the pepperoni was awesome, the cheese was fresh and fantastic, the sauce was perfect, the crust everything. Everything delicately balanced. Would 1000% recommend both, if your a out of towner get both. You won’t be sorry. I apologize to the pizza for calling it basic, it was a shining star under all that topping. Haha.
